MLB betting fans have enjoyed watching their wagers live in some of the greatest sports stadiums in the world. Throughout its illustrious history, there have been many great ballparks associated with the MLB. Over the last decade, baseball betting fans have been spoiled by the newest designs put forth at their team’s new stadium. It’s tough to narrow it down to just three, but here are the three best stadiums in baseball today.
- Busch Stadium III St. Louis Cardinals – With a capacity of 46, 861 and an overall cost of $365 million, to say Busch Stadium is the best ballpark in the entire MLB would be putting it lightly. The Cardinals have the best skyline and backdrop in all of baseball. If you’ve never been to Busch Stadium, it is really quite the site.
Opening in 2006 and playing host to last season’s All Star Game, Busch Stadium III has made many fans jaws drop once they enter the stadium.
- PNC Park Pittsburgh Pirates – At a capacity of 38, 496 PNC Park is one of the smallest stadiums in baseball. However, for such a struggling franchise, PNC Park might be the brightest area of the team’s disarray. Nevertheless, what makes PNC Park glorious is that the architects designed certain areas to pay tribute to the older ballparks, making PNC Park rather classy.
Similar to Busch Stadium III, PNC Park has fantastic skyline and backdrop. Our favorite part of the stadium is the Roberto Celemente Bridge which carries over the Allegheny River. There is no better park to watch a ballgame at night then at PNC Park.
- Citi Field - One of the two newest parks introduced in 2009 the other also coming from New York as the Bronx bombers entered New Yankee Stadium. Citi Field is one of the nicer stadiums in the game today. It features a 160 foot rotunda in tribute of Jackie Robinson. What’s more the rotunda has all of Robinson’s nine values on display.

Boston Red Sox fans baseball betting on their team, have come to love watching games at Fenway Park in the heart of Boston ever since the team moved in 1912. As many MLB betting enthusiasts know, Fenway Park is the oldest ballpark currently in use and the oldest sports stadium in the entire United States.
The baseball betting news is abuzz with the fact that Fenway Park is the last of the ballparks used from the original MLB era. Since it is the oldest ballpark, it has been nicknamed “America’s most beloved ballpark”. Fenway Park is located in the Fenway – Kenmore neighborhood in Boston Mass. The location of the stadium has factored significantly in the renovations to the park to keep it up to date. There are many at the present version of Fenway that weren’t envisioned initially.
For instance, the “Green Monster” wall in left field is a favorite target for right handed hitters. In 1912, the Green Monster was made of wood. However in 1934, when the legendary scoreboard was put in place in the left field, the Green Monster was covered in tin and concreter and painted green, hence the nickname.
As well, next to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Fenway Park is the only ballpark to have a manual scoreboard. Throughout the rest of the league, the scoreboards are digital and controlled by the stadium announcer. Yet in a nostalgic moment, the Fenway ownership, has never altered the dynamic of the scoreboard and has a person manually change the numbers.
Another unique feature of Fenway Park is the triangle located in centre field. The walls in that specific area form a triangle with the longest side being 420 feet. This confuses many fans new to Fenway as most believe that the power alley is in left field in a smaller corner between center and the Green Monster. |

Location: East 161st Street and River Avenue, Bronx, New York
Opened: April 16, 2009
Owners: New York Yankees
Capacity: 52, 325
Since being opened at the start of the 2009 regular season, MLB betting handicappers have seen some of the most memorable moments in the history of baseball at the new Yankee Stadium. For instance, last year baseball betting fans, were able to witness the Yankees go from a team on a huge championship drought, to winning the World Series outright. Conversely, this year Yankee fans were able to witness Alex Rodriguez hit home run 600 at the beginning of August, live in front of the home audience.
New Yankee Stadium is located directly across the street from the old Yankee Stadium. Over the 85-year tenure at the old Yankee Stadium, fans and bettors alike were able to watch and gamble on 26 of the Yankees 27 World Series titles. Old Yankee Stadium was the house that Ruth, DiMaggio and Gehrig built. As a result many players after them were unable to live up to the standards those three set.
Nevertheless, in new Yankee Stadium, it is modern era stars such as Jeter, Rodriguez and Sabathia, who are setting new standards for future stars of the Yankees. After winning the World Series at home in Yankee Stadium in the inaugural year of the new stadium, many wonder how they will follow up in year two. So far this year, the Yankees are a top the American League East division and own one of the best home records in baseball. Yet many fans and critics alike now believe that anything short of a new Yankee dynasty will be seen as a flop in the new stadium.
As we noted above, the new Yankee Stadium is being defined as the house that Jeter, Rodriguez and staff ace Sabathia built. Sabathia alone has benefited significantly from the new Yankee Stadium, as he has yet to lose this season at home. What’s more, his last home loss was in the beginning of July of the 2009 season. |

Home Of: St. Louis Cardinals
Founded: April 4, 2006
Location: 700 Clark Street, St. Louis Missouri
Capacity: 46,861
Owner: St. Louis Cardinals
Baseball betting fans have come to love watching games at Busch Stadium since it was created in 2006. Similar to the Yankees in 2009, Cardinals fans betting online for the team to win a World Series in Busch Stadium’s inaugural year, were big winners as the team won and defeated the Detroit Tigers in five games that season.
On April 10, 2006, Mark Mulder was the opening day starter for the first ever game at Busch Stadium III. That day, the Cardinals on the backs of Mulder and future hall of fame first baseman Albert Pujols, were able to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers six to four.
The current Busch Stadium is the latest ball park in St. Louis to hold the Busch name since 1953, as it has succeeded two previous Busch Stadiums, which were also used for football. Although the Cardinals played at Busch Stadium II for 39 years from 1966 to 2005, planning for the new Busch Stadium has been in the works since 1995. However, the funding for a new stadium took some time, and the current edition of Busch, was not built until 2004.
Busch Stadium III was built through the collaboration of three different groups, Populous Architect Company, Bliss and Nyitray Inc engineers and the Hunter Construction Group as the main contractors. The total cost to build the new Busch Stadium was $365 Million.
Historical Moments at Busch Stadium III:
In 2006, as noted earlier the Cardinals made it all the way to the World Series final. The Cards won all three games at Busch Stadium, before defeating the Tigers in Detroit to win the World Series.
Similar to the Rocky statue outside the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, new Busch Stadium has a statue of Stan Musial. When the Cards won the first three games of the 2006 World Series, many fans climbed atop the statue of Stan “The man” Musial.
In 2009, Busch Stadium was the host of the All Star game but also the home of the series clinching win for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they defeated the Cards in four games. |
